Hello, November!

I can’t believe it’s November already! This year flew by so fast, I barely had time to enjoy the summer. Now that I think about it, I didn’t even celebrate my small wins, like starting my new job or my cat getting better. ☹️ It’s been a rough year, so maybe it’s for the best that it’s almost over.

Sorry for this heavy intro, I’ll make it up to you!

This is my latest illustration, and I’m really proud of how it turned out! I tried some new techniques, experimented with different brushes, and paid close attention to how the colours behave in a low-light environment. It looks so simple, yet there was so much effort (and fun!) behind it.

I’m still working on my calendar, six months are done! It looks like I might actually finish it before December. Yay! 🎉

Behind scenes

Since I started making button badges, I’ve been searching for the perfect paper, which is tricky, because badges only work well with thin paper (around 80gsm), and there aren’t many good quality options out there in that weight. But it seems a little light of hope has appeared, because I finally found one that looks promising! The colours are amazing, and it got a 5/5 for not jamming my button maker. 👀

Business updates

October has been a slower month for me, and the fact that shipping to the US is messed up definitely didn’t help.

Two of my packages got lost, so I had to issue refunds. ☹️ The lady at the post office said they’ve been having issues too, even letters have started coming back for no reason. So, I had to change the US shipping settings, and for now, the only available option is tracked shipping, which costs €10. Hopefully, this is just temporary and things go back to normal soon! Sorry for this 💜
